Red Bull appoints Klopp as head of football

Jurgen Klopp will take on the role of global head of football at Red Bull. With the deal immediately terminated should an offer from the Germany national team arrive. The

heavy-metal boss will start at Red Bull Group on 1 January 2025 and has already signed a long-term contract.

“Working with Red Bull on a global level, I want to develop, improve and support the incredible football talent we have. There are many ways we can do this, from leveraging the incredible knowledge and experience we have at Red Bull to learning from other sports and industries.

“Together, we can explore what is possible. I see my role as a mentor to the coaches and executives of Red Bull Clubs, but ultimately I am part of a unique, innovative and forward-thinking organisation. As I have said, this excites me.”
