Real Madrid are in good news after media reports suggest Luka Modric may be fit and ready to play in the league on Saturday.

The Croatian midfielder missed Real Madrid’s latest La Liga game. Where the team only managed a goalless draw at home to Osasuna on Wednesday, with Eduardo Camavinka down substitute field.

However, on Wednesday Marca reported that Modric could return to training again. And the reason for missing to help the team in the midweek game is because the players are only tired.

If according to media sport reports, Madrid is true. It is considered good news for the Real Madrid in getting the veteran midfielder back as an alternative again.

For now, Los Blancos have played 10 games in La Liga, keeping 21 points behind the leaders.

Real Madrid announced Modric’s new contract on Tuesday morning.

“Real Madrid CF and Luka Modric have agreed to extend the player’s contract, which remains with the club until June 30, 2022,” the club said in a statement.

How has Modric fared this season?

Despite now being in the twilight of his career, Modric has continued to be an integral part of Zinedine Zidane’s side.

This season the Croatia international made his highest number of league appearances in a campaign since joining the club, as well as producing several outstanding performances as Madrid went close to winning the title.
